"Our 17 year old daughter joined Miss Fleur’s dance school 14 years ago as a shy 3 year old as a recommendation from a friend! Thanks to the nurturing, hard working professional ethos of Miss Fleur, Miss Toni and Miss Jess Daisy is now a fit, confident and competent dancer in Ballet and pointe, tap, modern and commercial jazz dancing in 5 classes each week. The teachers are positive strong female role models for the children resulting in a unique relationship with their teachers as the longest standing teachers in their lives. They see the children grow and develop in their skill, fitness and stamina encouraging them to work to their best ability which shows in consistent high exam grades. We have seen the school grow and develop in our time bringing many opportunities for the pupils. Alongside the amazing biannual dance shows ( which I thoroughly enjoy chaperoning for!) Daisy has been involved in the local panto, participated in Summer School, attended concerts with dance school, danced with choreographers and famous dancers and danced at the Grand Prix 2021 as a troupe of 1000 dancers. Wonderful memories to treasure. Daisy has made a wonderful group of lifelong friends. She loves attending dance class whilst maintaining high levels of fitness. During the challenging times of lockdown Miss Fleur quickly devised virtual dance classes. This undoubtedly supported mental health and well being for Daisy and her friends during unprecedented times and enabled the important friendships within class to continue with dedicated ‘free time ‘ within each session including quizzes and socials! Daisy younger cousins joined the school when they were old enough having watched their cousins love of dance class and through admiring all the fantastic costumes she wore and kept from the dance shows! I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this dance school to any parent looking for a professional, fun inclusive dance school for their child but watching the Senior girls skills and enjoyment of being part of this wonderful ‘ dance family’ is the best advert for Miss Fleur and her staff. "My daughter has had such a positive experience attending the Fleur Elizabeth Academy. From the start, we were impressed with the commitment to high standards and professionalism. The quality of the production in our daughter’s first dance show blew us away and really allowed us to see the excellence that the students and teachers strive for. The teachers are also passionate about the students’ well-being and make the dance classes enjoyable and fun. During those 7 years she has made friends, worked towards exams, built confidence, performed in Academy shows, pantomime and at The Hull New Theatre. Miss Fleur and her team offer many classes. My daughter does ballet, tap, modern, acro and musical theatre. Each class is taught with professionalism by skilled members of Miss Fleur’s team or herself. The dedication and support shown to children and families during Covid, continuing classes via zoom and back in the studio has been structured conscientiously, safely and professionally. "Miss Fleur’s Academy of Dance is an excellent dance class. My daughter has been attending this dance class since she was 6. It is such a nurturing and disciplined dance class that encourages such wonderful values of hard work and fun to each child that attends. My daughter is now 10 and aspires to be a senior at this excellent dance class as she has seen first hand what wonderful experience seniors before her have done. The teaching my daughter receives is amazing. Each teacher is passionate about the children as individuals and their own dance journey. There is never any pressure to do too much but they are pushed to be the absolute best they can be in the most lovely manner. In recent times, Miss Fleur and her wonderful team have worked miracles! Where other dance classes have failed to embrace on line dancing, Miss Fleur has taken on the challenge and done amazing. It has been so important to my daughter to have this opportunity to see friends and keep fit in these very strange times that we have all faced, Miss Fleur and staff have made the zoom classes so much fun that my daughter has not wanted to miss one class! Miss Fleur and the team put on the most amazing shows! I was blown away by the quality of dancing, costumes, lighting, props and music. My daughter has taken part in three shows and they get better and better every time! There is such a sense of family about this dance class. Parents are invited to open classes to see what the children are learning. Summer schools are provided with crafts, dancing singing all included and a mini show at the end. During zoom classes family have been encouraged to join in. It’s so wonderful to be a part of together. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this dance class to anyone, whether you have boys or girls, all are included and encouraged in the best way!"
