Located at Hallgate, Cottingham HU16 4DD, our school offers a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children aged 2 to 5 years. With over three decades of experience in early education, our team is dedicated to providing high quality, play-based learning that lays the foundation for future success.

At Cottingham Pre-school, we believe that each child is unique and special. As such, our curriculum is designed to cater to the individual needs, interests and abilities of each child. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which provides a holistic approach to learning, covering seven areas of development, including language and communication, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world and expressive arts and design.

Our well-trained and experienced team of practitioners work closely with parents and guardians to provide a supportive learning environment. We value strong partnerships with families, recognising that parents are the first educators of their children. We encourage parents to be actively involved in their child's learning journey by providing regular communication, sharing key milestones and involving them in events and activities.

Our facilities are designed with children's needs in mind to promote their learning and development. Our bright, spacious classrooms are equipped with a range of resources and materials to support play-based learning. We also have a well-equipped outdoor area, which provides children with opportunities to explore, discover and learn through nature.

At Cottingham Pre-school, we pride ourselves on our strong sense of community. Our school is a place where children come to develop their social skills and form friendships. We organise a range of events throughout the year, including fundraising activities, cultural celebrations and family fun days, to bring families and the community together.

We offer flexible hours, with morning or afternoon sessions available, and additional lunch club and wraparound care options for working parents. We also accept government-funded early education for eligible children.
