"One of Northern Ireland's most beautiful forest parks, Tollymore have several different paths with many different things to view, It's a rather wonderful place and looks really attractive throughout the year. There's a great caravan/camping site in it, with toilets and showers. The views of the mountains is spectacular. Perfect place to hike or just have a gentle stroll in beautiful surroundings with a variety of marked trails from short, medium or long. £5 entrance to those in cars, but as a Forest Service park entrance is included in your annual membership, which is currently £40. Thoroughly enjoyable for a day trip or a short stay. It's close to Newcastle so one could spend half the day here and finish off with a trip to Newcastle beach during the longer summer days. Fantastic option for families. Really can't recommend Tollymore highly enough."
"Great place for a hike or a stroll in beautiful surroundings with a variety of marked trails. I can fully recommend the river trail which is between 4.5km and 6km depending on whether to take the optional extension. If you are lucky you may spot some wildlife ( came face to face with a stunning deer on a previous visit ). The Shimna river is also known for it's Salmon at the the right time of year. £5 entrance to those in cars. Also, has camping grounds for those so inclined. Thoroughly enjoyable for a quick day trip."
"such a beautiful park, there are many different paths with many different things to see and a large amount of places to take a seat and watch the nature, the place looks lovely when all the trees have leaves and the birds are chirping. There's also a great caravan site in it that is very reasonable and has great services like toilets and showers. The view of the mountains is a lovely site as night falls or sunrise."
"Really nice walk around here. Some lovely little paths, wooded areas too. We went on the recent bank holiday and it still felt super secluded and not busy. Busy with bikes off the main trail, but would recommend venturing off."
"A beautiful forest park which is situated around 2 miles away from Newcastle city. There are some historical bridged and constructions inside the park. Inside the park there are many rivers and small waterfalls. Also there are 3 Game of Thrones locations in the park. Number of trails are available which you can select according to your interest, which include some trails with high elevated areas and some others with mostly flat. I think the park is more attractive and beautiful in Autumn."
