The property is so full of character and in a great location for exploring the surrounding area. Both James and Nicola are a font of knowledge. Facilities are second to none and breakfast superb."
"Having been several times to this beautiful country house I am guilty of not reviewing this before... Its one of the many things that lockdown has promted me to do. Once you drive up their sweeping drive amongst many mature trees and shrubs you are greeted by the very inviting facade of the house. The owners are as equally inviting and welcoming as the door opens and youre greeted like an old friend come to stay again. I can honestly say I have stayed enough times to sample all of the guest accomodation bedrooms and can state they are a sheer delight, furnished with an eclecric assortment of antique furniture which adds to the ambience of the place. James & Nicola go to the extreme in making your stay enjoyible with their local knowledge and advice. Truely well worth the stay!!!"
"If you like a place with personality and out the way of the hustle and bustle of town, this is for you. Working farm with horsies! Warm friendly people. I hesitate to call them staff because I felt like I was greeted like an old friend. Amazing breakfast and interesting decor. The room I had was on par with single size rooms. I felt so comfortable that I didn't really want to go. Good Wi-Fi and offered a brew as soon as I got there from a grueling 8 hour ferry. Can't fault the place at all. Ample parking. I have a large vehicle and have anxiety about being able to park. Love this place and want to go back again"
