"The waitresses who helped us both had a lovely manner and great sense of humour, both were a credit to the restaurant. The manager was very welcoming and friendly, and took the time to have a chat with us a couple of times, but never intrusively. The food was delicious, such a pleasure to eat. A possible suggestion would be skinny fries? We had the truffle fries, they were lovely, but I personally would have preferred thinner cut chips. But I have zero criticism, it was one of the nicest meals I've had in a long time."

"Well, have to say the steak was one of the best I've had in a long time, mixed with the garlic butter sauce. Twas a match made in heaven('s kitchen) The 8 Oz steaks will probably not get you full along side the sides it comes with like a few chips, onion rings and a salad but it's not really about that because the flavours are just fantastic. The atmosphere is very nice aswell, a nice old English restaurant feel which was actually really welcome. The waitresses and waiter having a sense of humour really loosened up the atmosphere as we just went for a meal and to have a good time."
"Lovely, lovely staff and a really nice atmosphere. My steak was up with some of the beat steak I've had. The wine choice was perfect (the Portuguese White and Red, just a great offering). Calamari was a little over. All in all a really great addition to Alton. I will deffo be back!"
