"We made our first claim after four years and promptly got an auto reply saying claims were taking 4 WEEKS to settle, I have mailed back 4 times and got little or no feedback, can't say I'm impressed, they seem happy to take our money, maybe not to payout!! I see the replies from Healthy Pets is always the same, contact us and we will look at it for you!!! Surely Healthy Pets should be contacting the customer!"
"Shocking company. Cost of living crisis and 2 months down the line and I still haven't got my claim through. Not even one phone call or email to keep me updated. I recently moved house and they put the claim on hold because my address had changed fair enough. But if they actually contacted me to let me know that was the issue holding up the claim that would have helped. No instead they leave the claim in limbo until I phone !!!! Now that is me waiting another 18 to 21 days on the claim eventually being paid out. Avoid this company !!! Update One extra star as the woman at cancellations worked tooth and nail to get the claim through. But taking off 15% because my dog is 5 years old is a joke what a shambles of a company. Safe to say will not be renewing"
"What an absolute joke of a company. We put in a claim three months ago for my cat’s hernia operation. We chased it after a month of hearing nothing and was told that our claim had been “sat there” but not processed. We were promised it would be approved. Cue the radio silence from them. After chasing again, we were told that they needed further information and when asked what that information was… they said a cost breakdown and medical notes from the vets. Which we had provided when we filed the initial claim! We were threatened that the claim would be cancelled if this information wasn’t received. We had sent them the medical history print out from the vets already! The vet also confirmed the type of hernia on the notes but this company apparently wanted additional confirmation… which would look the exact same as what we had already provided because it was a PRINT OUT OF THE MEDICAL NOTES. We chased again and were told they’d heard from the vets so it would be approved. Nothing. Chased again and apparently this time they HADN’T heard from the vets and would ring them to chase on our behalf. Then in the same breath they told us WE needed to chase the vets. After another week, they told us the vets never contacted them and cancelled our claim. We called our vet, who confirmed she had sent everything over, so now we have to file another claim and go through this absolute shambles again. We’re still awaiting a resolution and I will hound this company to the ground until someone actually does their job. There is not an ounce of common sense at this company. Avoid this dumpster fire at all costs. They’re quick to take your money but lie through their teeth at you when it comes to actioning your claim. Absolute GARBAGE."
"STAY AWAY AND DO A RESEARCH!! They lack on training of their staff, when I called first time they couldn’t find my claim, even tho my vet guaranteed they have send and I believe the vet hospital I go. Also they lack on communication, I have trying to reach by email with no luck what so ever. I do not recommend this insurance. Even tho I have two pets with them and have not ever made a claim until now might be better to terminate contract earlier and looking into another provider. Update! After I post this review they send me a email requesting more information, when I have been requesting updates from them prior this review. "I bought 2 policies with this Healthy Pets due to being lured in by the reasonable prices. Unfortunately I had to have 1 of my cats put to sleep back in February leaving me over £600 out of pocket. I sent all the forms over to claim on her policy and didn't hear anything for months. When I asked for an update via email, I was told that they had closed the case due to not being able to obtain her medical history from her vet. They had been chasing a vet surgery that I had never taken her to and that had no record of her. After sending them the details of the vet she was actually under, I have had no response for almost a month. I received the renewal quote for my remaining cat and I have just called them to cancel the policy as I will be self-insuring in future and putting the money into a savings account. It is completely unacceptable to be waiting over 6 months for a claim to be paid out when the issue my cat presented with was a blood clot out of the blue and had nothing to do with her medical history, which was previously clear as she had been healthy and well for 12 years apart from the odd water infection. The premiums for this company might be attractive but avoid at all costs! When the worst happens, you'll be kicking yourself for not paying a bit more and receiving a decent and acceptable level of service. I really hope that my claim will come to an acceptable resolution soon and I can finally move on from the loss of my girl."
