"Me and the family were at exploris and come the end of the trip we were starving so we decided to stop for food before we left, initially everything seemed good from ordering until we got our food and drinks, we were brought 2 glasses for our cokes and looking at the glasses they were still dirty from a previous fizzy drink (sticky around the top and on the sides of the glasses) so that was the first bad sign, when our food came in looked lovely (peppered chicken with mash and tabacco onions) but after trying the mash there was rock hard chunks in the middle which if you had experience that it put us right off them, the chicken was very well over cooked and tasteless, the only good thing was the kids meal with sausages seemed fine. Overall our experience there felt unwelcome and a waste of money, definitely bring a packed meal with you if you’re planning to head this direction. The staff overall are not bad, they maybe lack experience in customer service to ask how a meal was etc so they can know directly how to help or fix a problem for a customer."
"It was comfy and warm but food was tasteless, sauces were tasteless aswell. even after I added salt , nothing. Cheap prices though"
"I would avoid this restaurant. The food is terrible. Not only did we have to wait for half an hour for food it was not edible. Ordered the soup for my one year old they must have had no lid for their salt as that is all you could taste and not appropriate for a one year old. I ordered the salt and chilli chicken also not able to eat as it was so salty. Handy for you are in exploris but you would be better with a picnic or some of the other places in portaferry."
"Well situated, clean and comfy and that's about it for pros. Pleasant staff but it's not enough to justify 30min wait time for 2 kids meals. Me and the missus weren't that hungry so order 2 coffees, 2 sausage rolls and a side of chunky chips. The drinks arrived first. Coffees and juice for the kids. Our sausage rolls arrived a minute later but no sign of other food. Some genius came up with an idea that food will arrive in batches instead everything together. By the time the kids got food we already have been done with our coffee and our snack. Had to ask the staff when the rest of food will arrive to make sure they have not forgotten. Finally after over 30 min the kids meals and our chunky chips arrived. The kids chips were undercooked, the crust edges on the pizza have been hard as a rock. The overall quality of products served have been poor. The sausage rolls looked and tasted bleak. Even with loads of red sauce. Bring your packed lunch with you or go eat somewhere else and save yourself from overpriced disappointment this place serves as a meal."
