"Had confirmation by email and even spoke to someone 3 days earlier. Turned up for two night stay to be turned away due to being full with immigrates left stranded with no where to stay. No apology, no communication of cancellation totally discussed good job I wasn't travelling on my own. Won't be using you again."
"Average at best for the price we paid. Sadly the corridor and the room we are in stinks of vomit as the room next door to us obviously had an accident earlier in the evening. The bin has just been left outside the room as well as sheets etc in untied bin bags causing the awful smell. The hotel has put a fan in the corridor to disperse the smell but is so loud I think sleeping with be a real struggle. Have stayed in much nicer hotels within the vicinity of this one and won't be staying here again. Shower area fairly clean but cracked tiles on the floor and toilet paper so thin it's hardly worth using, along with noisy doors closing from other rooms means we will not make the mistake of staying here again."
"Absolute dump how can they charge 80 to 130 for some nights here and keep a straight face. Very out dated, heating did not work properly, toilet did not flush. Everything is tired and dated. Last decorated 30 years ago i would say. The room also smelt bad like moldy damp type smell. The bed is the most rock hard, springy and uncomfortable mattress i have slept on in any hotel. Sore lower back it even hurt to breathe in laying on this bed terrible nights sleep had to take pain killers because of this bed. The television was tiny cannot see it properly from the bed but that was least of my problems with my body feeling like it had been kicked and punched. If they are not going to decorate and upgrade to get the basic stuff sorted and new softer mattresses then charge 50 or 60 a night as any more it's a con. Very embarrassing the owners should be ashamed."
"Room was clean, and staff were friendly and helpful. Good location in the service station, great if you need food and drink. Unfortunately, we stayed just after the heatwave, and the room was way too hot for us, so we checked out after one night. There was a lot of noise during the night too, doors banging all the time, but that's not the hotels fault, and it was a Saturday. Overall it's good value for the price they charge, not enough milk supplied with the tea and coffee, but I expect they would be more than happy to give you more if you asked. . As others have said, it is a bit tired looking, the carpet was frayed in our room, the shower surround covered in limescale, but the room was clean, and smelled lovely when we walked in. With an upgrade it would be a perfect spot to stay, but then you would no doubt pay twice the price."
"Family rooms and accessible rooms were brilliant. Beds were starting to show signs of needing to be changed but linen was crisp. Bathrooms were clean and showers were the best I've used in a hotel I some time. Customer service was second to none. Nothing was too much hassle. Definitely will use again if staying in the area again"
