"This is a former Travelodge, located on the A1 southbound, just north of Baldock. It's clean & basically well-kept, if a bit tired. Pleasant staff. Breakfast is self-service continental, which you can eat on the hoof in reception or take back to your room. We chose Coateys, the restaurant just across the car park (excellent sausages). Overall, value for money but don't expect champagne for beer money."
"My stay at Redwings was pleasant, neat and tidy rooms, very clean . Yes it's dated but you have to see past that and what you get is a comfy bed, clean towels, kettle and tea, coffee satches and milk to make your drink in the morning. You get hot running water, no issues having a shower. I stayed for a few nights for work and opposite you have a cafe which serves great food friendly service and ample parking. As for location this can be daunting for someone as it's literally on the A1 it can be easily missed and to leave the hotel your driving straight onto the A1 so be warned for those who aren't experienced drivers out there you will need to be careful when pulling out of the hotel as it's not a joining slip road to the motorway. Will visit again if I'm in the area for work again."
"Standard rooms, clean and tidy with all basic needs met. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The continental breakfast is ok, but the cafe opposite provides great food if you want more."
"Although rooms are tired and dated it's no more than to be expected from the age of the hotel. They also take dogs which was the main reason for our booking. Rooms were clean (we stayed twice) and staff friendly and helpful. Good buffet breakfast too. Only drawback is it is halfway between roundabouts so you have to drive a fair bit north or south depending on which direction you wish to travel in."
"We had a lovely 2 night stay here. The staff on reception were lovely very helpful. The beds were nice and clean and so was the rest of it Bathroom needs a bit of up dating but everything worked. Lovely towels. It is a no frills hotel a bonus with cafe in car park Plenty of parking. If you close the window you cannot here the "A1. Very reasonably priced."
