"Shrewsbury Bookfest hired the Blackburn Chapel & Theatre at Prestfelde School for an event within their annual children's literature festival programme, on Friday 28 April. This event was the highlight of the festival programme - Clare Balding OBE, who talked about her life experiences, challenges and how these themes were integrated into her new book for children 'The Racehorse Who Wouldn't Gallop'. The beautiful and modern venue was ideal for this event as it offers raked seating for around 280 people, lighting, sound, a green room, catering support and plenty of space for the audience to move about to their seats and for book signing afterwards. The staff at Prestfelde School were extremely helpful and accommodating in assisting us to prepare for this important event and we look forward to returning again. A great venue."
