Reviews of London Street art tours
"Absolutely Fantastic! I love street art and am a bit skeptical of organized tours. However, after a friend stayed in Shoreditch and mentioned the amount of street art, I thought a guided tour might be a good way to get a feel for the area. I booked the tour before leaving California and was not disappointed! The 2-hour tour delivered on all fronts. Frank, our guide, being an artist himself, shared the history of street art, stories about the various artists and how they've evolved as well as his own personal experience. The artwork we saw on the tour was created by artists from around the globe and several of the works would have been completely missed had Frank not pointed up, down and around corners. Throughout the tour, Frank provided insights into the changing landscape of street art and references for other areas to explore. The London Graffiti Tour was an absolutely perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I hope to take another tour with Frank someday and highly recommend his tours to anyone traveling to the area."
"Great having the "real thing" or then person taking you on this tour. Although we live in London and I was worried that it would be to touristy I was pleasantly surprised by the firsthand knowledge and coolness of Frank, or then Steam156. Def worth connecting and spending time with him, even if you are a born and bred Londoner!"
"I did this tour last Sunday and I was not disappointed. It was led by Steam 156 and he was a brilliant tour guide - he really knew his stuff and conducted the tour in an engaging way. I would definitely recommend this and will be doing it again when friends come to visit."
"Steam156 was friendly, funny and definitely knew his stuff! My husband, our 11 year old son and I had a brilliant afternoon doing something refreshingly different in London! The tour was cleverly organised, allowing for surprise sightings and hidden gems. I plan on recommending this tour to everyone I know who's planning a trip to London!"
"I've done the tour more than once and I have to say it's been always different. Frank is brilliant, he knows everything about graffiti and street art, all about the artists and all about the different styles. It makes a real difference. It's not the same to do a tour with someone who just copied some information from the internet or doing it with an authentic expert. I learnt a new thing every time I did the tour, and it was always nice to walk around places like Shoreditch, Brixton, Candem, Hackney...Frank makes you have a good time, and opens your eyes to the beauty and amazing talent hidden in the streets of London."
