Blackdog Beach

"Gorgeous beach, and much quieter than the neighbouring Balmedie. Sad to see the new houses have taken away part of the beach walks."

"This is a beautiful beach with fantastic views along the bay. Parking is quite limited though so might be tricky at weekends etc Access to the beach is also not the greatest, we had to cross some stepping stones over a burn or you can go over the dunes."

"Lovely long beach but not easily accessible if you have any disabilities or are elderly. There are lots of high dunes between the car park and the beach, which are very steep. The car park is also rather small and as a lot of dog walkers seem to use it, there is a risk it may have no parking room. If you are fit and able it is worth the walk, otherwise go to neighbouring Bemeadie which has easy access."
