"I had bad experience here. I have 2 kids unde 2, and obvioulsy i came with a double pram. And i was stopped and seriosuly looked at as if i was stealing. Just because i have a pram that is long and hard to manouver i should not be suspected of stealing. They said they had another lady taking coffee with the pra. I dont care about another lady. I am not her. Not nice service, at all. Not coming back."
"My wife was asked to leave her shopping she was carrying in an unlocked locker at the front. I asked why and was told in an assertive tone that it's because of thieves. A female worker was asked by my wife to which she replied if you don't like it you can leave. She walked to my wife in a confrontational manner. A male member of staff could clearly see that this was wrong and had to step in between. I have never seen such a disgusting display of aggression, I can only explain it as the complete opposite of customer service. I am just happy that I was with my wife and small child that day as that could have been a harrowing event if she had that 'welcome' had she been alone. The worst shopping experience I have ever had and second to the shop being closed down I'd urge people to avoid it at all cost."
"Generally there's a wide variety of different products, which is great, however I've got few issues: 1. I don't feel comfortable with leaving my other bags/shopping from different stores near the entrance. I understand that they've got an issue with thieves, however it should be up to the shop to get some more cameras and security to observe people via those cameras instead of assuming everyone is a thief. Also if it's such a big issue it's unfair to put customers at risk of getting their possessions stolen. 2. Unfortunately you have to look very closely at the expiry dates, as many products are either expired or close to expire (they should cut the prices of those products and let people choose whether they want to buy it or not). This is especially difficult when buying the mix and choose sweets by weight, as there's often not really a way of telling untill you unwrap them. 3. Buying fresh meat is like playing a Russian roulette. It's great at times, however I've had few incidents when upon arriving at home the meat was slimy and smelled funny. I understand that the people working behind the meat counter aren't allowed to open new bags if there's still some old one is left over. I don't have issue with that itself, no business wants to lose money. However, at the same time as a customer I don't want to buy something I'll have to throw away, because it was sold to me and it's clearly unsafe to eat. 4. Many products are super overpriced, I get that the cost of living has gone up everywhere and the import prices are higher, however you can buy the same products almost half price cheaper in other shops. However, I have to most of the staff I came across are very friendly and helpful, kudos to them ☺️"
"Bloke on till is rude! Why he works there if he don`t like it. Use to be great place to go with friendly staff, but now it`s different. No helpful at all."
"Large variety of products, u will get what u need except vegetables not always fresh, which is in most of Polish shops in Hull. Large choice of meet. However, sometimes walking in there u feel like a shoplifter, there used to be a guy who followed you while shopping, and checking if u not stealing anything, so annoying. Most of staff is very nice but u can feel they can keep an eye on u all the time. For this massive shop they should introduce more efficient system of checking ppl if they so concerned about it. Last time I have been there they had security cameras being installed and guy wasn't there so hopefully this shadowing came to an end :)"
