"I must say I've been really impressed with NR Burnetts. I haven't ordered from them before and believed that they mainly deal with trade customers. I needed some wood to finish a fencing project, however the yard i had used initially would only deliver for £600 plus orders and would not include the wood i had purchased a few weeks prior which would have been easily over this price. I thought that prices to the public would be really high, but I thought I would give them a try. I spoke with Charlie on the sales counter he gave me a price which I thought was reasonable and then around rang around the other wood yards in Hull to find the price was actually very competitive, in some cases it was at least £3-4 pear board cheaper than elsewhere which is a massive saving when I wanted 40 + 4.8 m boards. The price charlie gave me was also more competitive when I found out that delivery was free and it was next day, most of the other yards I spoke weight charged for delivery and delivery was around 2 to 3 days time. I called Charlie back and ask him if he could beat the initial price he gave me which I was surprised that he was able to do. I went in and paid for the wood and it was delivered this morning first thing. The other reason I was really pleased to deal with NR Burnetts is that both Charlie and the lad that delivered the wood were both friendly and polite, this is not the case at other yards in Hull!. A 5 star service i will definitely be using them again."

"Would rate zero as absolute joke of a business. Avoid at all costs, Matt Hague is an outright liar, promised delivery in writing for a day then on said day didnt arrive so had to call them 4 times before they decided to actually call me back. Told they're busy what did we expect. Then told would be another few days as not even treated, this is a day late already. Then emailed us back promising delivery today, when emailed for an ETA he made out he couldnt get hilf of the driver but would let us know, then at 5 o'clock came clean and said was still at treatment. Now having to wait another 3 days due to bank holiday and not holding our breath. Our customer is now not getting a specially made item that was needed by yesterday for a birthday on Sunday, until at least next week. No problem taking your money but reluctant to refund when they lie to customers. Disgusting!"
