Reviews of The Barber Shop
"My new go to barbers, Friendly staff who take their time and do a great job."
"A wonderful barber's shop have been for a couple years now and definitely worth the price and understands my requirements."
"So I have already reviewed this barbers but felt it was important to do it again. I went today and asked for a high skin fade. I was worked on by Theo, Theo was a great guy and chatty and genuinely wanted to please but after roughly 30 mins he said he had finished my cut. It looked nothing like what id asked for or wanted so I made this clear all while feeling awful about complaining because as a haircut it was fine it just wasn’t a fade. I asked for this to be corrected to which Theo said he didn’t feel comfortable doing that. He then tried to fix it but didn’t seem comfortable so I asked to change. The owner then overhead and asked for an update. After all this I was switched to another lady who did a great job with what Theo had left. The overall service was brilliant and I was made to feel comfortable about not being happy which is important in that kind of work. The reason for only 4 out of 5 is purely the communication breakdown. Theo should have made it clear that he wasn’t comfortable doing what I asked for and I would have been happy to wait instead we was left with a situation where nobody was happy which is a shame as I can’t imagine how hard the trade is. On the other hand though I feel it’s important that you make your strengths and weaknesses clear to your customer which wasn’t done today Theo needs to do this or change what his style is purely because if someone isn’t comfortable speaking up they may be dissatisfied and not return. Overall the shop is still a good friendly atmosphere with great barbers and great value for money and I definitely won’t be put off returning. I just hope situations like mine are avoided in the future for all parties."
"The worst hair cut I've seen in my entire life. Kirsty cannot cut hair, I would even question if she has any qualifications at all. I should have known better when the gentleman before me left the shop and immedietly complained about the haircut to his wife waiting outside, in earshot. When I questioned my boys hair cut, I was told by the owner that the hairdresser hadn't finished yet. However, the hairdresser presented the finished hair cut to me and that's when I gave my evaluation (see pics) The owner was stood outside having a natter with her mate while the haircut took place but then then came into the shop and tried to give me an account of what had happened - she wasn't even present so how would she know. When I asked them to finish/rectify the haircut they refused, they even then had the gall to waste precious police time and called the police because apparently I was being aggressive. I wasnt being aggressive, just pointing out the obvious but neither staff wanted to take any accountability nor responsibility for the situation. This is totally unacceptable. In the end I had to take my boy elsewhere to get the job finished. An absolutely appalling experience, avoid at all costs."
