Reviews of Millbrook Lodge Hotel
"Average. First impression is good but then: restaurant stops taking orders before 2000hrs. Very good food though. In fact I would call it exceptional as far as North Ireland goes. Rooms (some of them renovated to decent standard but not all, so hit and miss), at 2300 there was no hot water, and yes I run all taps for good 20 min to be sure, had to wait for a decent shower until morning. Stayed three days, when back in the room found bed made but no soap. Lucky had my own. I would not spend weekend there"
"Beautiful site. We were here for a wedding and stayed overnight. The food & wait staff were wonderful and very efficient. My only gripe was all three bars sent me to one of the others when I asked for a strawberry daiquiri, I'd rather they just say they can't, but if thats the only thing, they obviously did very well. The room was lovely too. Breakfast was buffet style and quite decent. Great place for a reception"
"Came here for lunch and I must say that we were almost overwhelmed by the interior. The room that we sat in was nicely decorated and very upmarket. The waiters were all very friendly and brought us our lovely food in no time at all. The steak is highly recommended with their homemade fries! The only thing I would complain about is the water that just tastes like pure chloride. The location is beautiful though, situated just outside Ballynahinch. Would love to come again, try it for yourself too!"
"I loved staying in Millbrook their hospitality was some of the best I've ever received when staying in a hotel. Big shout out to the tall redhead gentleman who seemed to be leading the charge on the evening we stayed. Food was great both in the evening and with breakfast. Some constructive feedback though would be that our mattress wasn't great (although likely they would have fixed this if we had have flagged it) and the guest WiFi wasn't able to connect initially when we arrived. It did connect later though and when I did get on I was able to see why it would have had an issue later and would be more than happy to share this info with Millbrook themselves if they were to reply to this review with some contact details (I work Managed IT Services). Even with these 2 small points I couldn't mark them anything else than 5/5 and I would gladly go back!"
"An amazing experience. We booked the eat steak and stay deal. We stayed in the rectory suite, omg it was beautiful. So clean and spacious. The food was amazing, best steak I've ever had. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Definitely will be back."
