Reviews of Old English Gentleman
"This is a great pub! Good beer and a nice selection of whisky (and whiskey from our cousin's over the pond) served by a friendly bar. When I'm in the area again I'll be back."
"The old English gentleman is an unspoilt proper gem of a pub. It's pretty much the same as it was when I first walked through the doors over 45 years ago. It's a lovely friendly pub. Slightly away from the town centre so it avoids all the idiots. A good selection of cask conditioned real ale. The walls are adorned with photographs of the stars who have appeared at the New Theatre next door, and often called in for a drink. If you're nearby call in for a drink, highly recommended."
"AMAZING STAFF! Everyone here is warm and friendly but Nathan is an absolute gem! A lovely cosy pub with a good selection of drinks, a piano if anyone wants to play it and board games! There's also the added bonus of possibly bumping into whoever is on stage at Hull New Theatre if you're in there after the show!"
"Excellent pub - well worth a walk to. Quite heavily adorned with stars of the past."
"This is a very friendly old worldly pub. Great atmosphere. Food is home cooked. And cooked to order if you give them notice."
