Five Star Nails

"After a 45 minute wait for my booked appointment and absolutely no apology or explanation I walked out, so so disappointed, and after using them for years I have to say it’s slowly got worse! Last couple of sets of nails have not been to the normal standard! But price has gone up, not sure what’s going on at the moment hopefully they will get on top of things because it was a great place but right now it’s not somewhere I would recommend and I have recommended a lot of people!"

"I visited this Nail Salon as it was open on a Sunday which was very Useful When I arrived there was noone on the reception all the employees were with customers One employee shouted across the shop asking what I wanted so I said I would like Gel Acrylics I was td too wash my hands and I did so and sat down at this point not one employee approached me they all just looked at me I wasn't sure if too touch the cour charts too pic my colours or not so I didn't I sat in the waiting area for about 15 mins then a young man called me forw!Rd too an empty table and asked me what I wanted so I showed him a picture he barely loved at it before saying I can only do similar too which I reied thats fine I asked price first he said one price then quickly changed it too a more expensive price I just said ok as it was very busy he started on my nails but didn't speak too me at all he was more interested in talking too his colleagues everything was going well I felt a little uncomfortable as I was just sat there I wasn't asked if I would like a drink like alot of other people were even though there was a sign up saying one complimentary Drink available afew regulars came in and he chatted too them all the while ignoring me then as he was filing my finger he was being rather rough and cut me said oops and carried on 2 secs later he did exactly the same thing again and carried on filing into 2 open cuts that were very painful he then finished my nails and I paid I think the way I was treated was not on I wasny6made too feel welcome !t all and I don't think I should have had too pay as much as I did for the service as I didn't get spoken too at all and I was injured without the nail Technicians concern he even smudged one of the nails and got quite nasty blaming me I will prob go back too give them a chance but I will be watching like a hawk too see what it is like I last went too thos salon many years ago before it expanded"

"First infills were great, second time awful. They seem to want to get as many people through the door as possible, rushing through procedures, not taking care to make sure they do a good job, just get one done and onto the next.. 3 times the person doing mine hurt me with the tools, no acknowledgement of me pulling away in pain. Rushed so much they didn't check to see the results. Nails are flat yet my infills look like each nail has a hump. ! Will have to get redone !!!Won't be going there again. I'll be back at Leanne's in Portchester or La Diva in Fareham, a far more relaxed time there, they take care of you, do a great job and are friendly and don't make you feel like you need to get in and out as fast as possible."

"Although I was happy with my nails whilst in the shop because they looked new and shiny, when I arrived home, my nails and fingers were burning. I think the solution they used to dry the nails was not good. I felt a burning sensation and pain for 3 days. I could not go back as after I've done my nails I went on holiday. Because of the pain, I wanted to take them off, but someone at a different salon told me that the heat from the electric file might make the pain worse. So here's me, on holiday with my hands in cold water every chance I got. On top of that, my nails were so bulky, so thick and so uneven.. The tip was not glued properly to my nail, so I have space in between the tip the nail and the acrylic. I didn't want to post this, but every time I tried calling the salon, I was told the manager was not in, or they didn't pick up.. I've spent all day yesterday taking them off with a regular nail file. The first picture shows how thick my nails were. In the second one I have already filed them for a while, but just to show that the tip of my nail was not glued to the acrylic and fake nail properly. I know the guys generally do a good job, but the lady that did my nails.. I'm not happy. Not for £40"

"Brazilian wax, pedicure, natural nail shape and polish with Beth and Jade were great. Really friendly and professional service, really pleased with the results of each treatment. Would recommend and I will definitely be back and will rebook the same technicians."
