The Barbership: Southsea

"As a person who's been going to the same hairdresser for the past 22 years, I have not really paid attention to new ways to style my hair, or even try a new haircut. My classic was just an all around trim with scissors only every month, to keep everything in shape. I have also mentioned the scissors ONLY, as there were two instances where I did not stand up to the hairdresser that just started working at the place I frequently went to, and got a fade with clippers that very much made me stay inside for the upcoming month, before I could repair the damage. All of this being said, I decided to visit the Barbership, just because I am trying to get myself to do things I normally never would, now being a university student. That's where I stumbled upon James, who single handedly changed my mind about paying for a barber cut experience. He very much respected my wishes during my first visit, and did a great cut in the exact style I always get, all along with the best treatment I've ever received. When I visited for the second time, he knew what style I was going for and walked me through the steps my cut requires and asked me why I demand to be only cut with scissors. He clearly recognised my past experience and promised that if I would agree, he could show me how he would do the cut with clippers with a long cut setting and if I don't like it, he'll finsih with scissors, like nothing ever happened. I do have to say, he singlehandedly changed my mind and with the way he made me look, I asked to finish the whole thing with clippers. If this doesn't get to show you how good of a barber James is, I don't know what would. He brought my faith in clippers back. Thank you for this! Also, did I mention that the inside looks cool as hell, people are super chill and don't even get me started on the whole pirate theme, because my veiw would be too biased at this point..."

"I’ve been going the Barbership for over two years now and it’s by far the best barbers in Portsmouth. It’s always a relaxed atmosphere in the shop and Craig is always my preferred barber. His service is second to none. I would highly recommend the Barbership membership. I’m subscribed to the grey membership which allows two haircuts and two beard trims for £40pm. There are also special rates for students too. It’s quick and easy to book an appointment using the Booksy app. I would highly recommend the Barbership to anyone who is either looking to change their regular mundane haircut routine or for anyone who has recently moved to the area and are looking for a top quality barbers."
