Reviews of The Tenth Hole
"Popped in here with a couple of friends at lunchtime. It was extremely busy and we were lucky to get a table inside. Considering how busy the place was it was so clean and the staff were very good at waiting, serving and clearing away. Our table was clean and although we had to queue to place our order, the food and drinks came quickly and was all very nice and warm. My cheese and beans jacket was very tasty with a side salad and dressing. I had this with a pot of tea and it came to just under £12. I also took some large fresh cream doughnuts home. I ordered at the till and these were boxed and bought over to me in a paper bag. The doughnuts were £4 each and a very special treat. I ordered Rolo ones which had Rolos inside and a Toffee Apple one which had Apple filling in with the cream. A very nice place and ideal for a special treat with friends or family."
"There is some on street parking right outside and across the road. Free for 3 hours, no return in 4. Usually spaces quite close to the cafe, but even a short walk is worth it. In my case, after the meal. On a cold and frosty morning, without bursting into song, it was a real treat. Great service, delicious food and a charm, all of its own. Love watching the field full of geese through the window. Pot yourself a breakfast or two. Highly recommended gem of a place."
"A beautiful selection of cakes that tasted homemade and delicious and very fresh. I went in a Sunday morning at 10:30 and by 11:30 we had our food due to how busy it was. Service could have been a little better (they asked if we wanted our table wiped after flicking the crumbs to the floor), but I can let that go. A nice brunch place but expect to wait a little bit. Also the coffee (flatwhite for £2.70) was mildly bitter but smooth enough. 5 stars to support small business and to commend them for how busy it was. Very well-presented food."
"Popped in for a Saturday lunch treat and was not disappointed. We had the Mac n cheese, salad and chips, followed by the cream scones. Only tip for the cafe is to improve the veggie breakfast which I had earlier in the week."
"We visited a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday and managed to get a table with no fuss. The food on offer is as good as ever! The hot chocolate was spot on, as was the traditional English breakfast. Free parking along the sea front makes an even better excuse for buying a second round of drinks and maybe a cheeky slice of cake to go! 5 stars."
