"This fish shop went down hill rapidly when it was taken over by Stuart's of Driffield. The food looks as though it has been thrown into the wrapping and on unwrapping the batter comes away with the paper which is soaked in grease. Very disappointing as this used to be the best fish and chip shop in Beverley."
"When this was Grovehill Fisheries, it was the best chippy in Beverley. Not any more. This was without doubt the worst chippy tea I have ever had the misfortune to unwrap. The chips were cold, under-cooked and covered in black bits and the fish fritter was burnt and falling to pieces. The gravy was lumpy and the peas were mostly green-coloured water. Truly awful. Don't waste your money on this over-priced rubbish. Avoid."
"This chippy used to be fantastic, and I had been occasionally using it for many years. However, just been and found it has been taken over by Stuart's of Driffield. Sadly, they have not kept the same standards - which is such a shame. When I visited (December, 2022) it was quite, and I only had a small order for two - yet they got it wrong. Gravy instead of curry, and three other mistakes! Such a disappointment. I wont't be going there again, until they are run by a proper company / owner. I will also be warning others to avoid."
