"It was a little while since I'd been to Carluccio's; having first visited a branch in London more than 20 years ago, I perhaps felt it had been surpassed by more recent openings. However this visit has definitely made me consider it anew. As a vegetarian I felt that there were multiple appealing choices and the pasta that I chose was delicious. My son had a very good minute steak and I felt that everything was well priced compared to some other restaurants locally. House red wine was extremely drinkable and staff could not have been more accommodating."
"Quite hit and miss. Used to like going here but have had a few disappointments. Starters were good but the mains were covered in butter or really bland and stodgy. They are clearly really understaffed: there was one waitress working across the whole restaurant and cafe towards the end of our meal, who was trying her best, but it did mean service was inevitably slow."
