"Fast, clean, knowledgeable. I lost the ball to my septum piercing within 3 days of it being put in because it wasn't tightened fully, but tbh I don't think this is Salamander's fault. Just ordered a new one"
"amazing staff kind and friendly I would amend going there give them 5 stars they gave me confidence for having my first tattoo"
"I got my Medusa pierced yesterday and I found this experience alone to be sub-par. The piercer had 2 relatives in the room with her who I had to face as I got pierced which I found really uncomfortable. As she was putting the jewellery in she mentioned I already had some swelling, and that if the bar gets swallowed by it to come back and that they’ll change it free of charge. Lo and behold this is exactly what happened, so I went in this morning to be told by a male piercer (Jordan) that he didn’t have any longer bars in. I spoke mainly to the receptionist, as the piercer didn’t even take a look at the piercing despite me telling them that it was way too short and being swallowed by my lip. The receptionist then told me they don’t use any bars longer than the one I had in, and told me to google the type of bar I needed and order/buy it myself! I knew something was wrong so I went across the road to Abacus (who I’ll be going to from now on, they’re AMAZING and a lot more friendly!) and the piercer there told me that it needed to be taken out ASAP as the bar they had used was intended for once a piercing had healed. It took her 5+ minutes to wrangle it out of my lip and replace it with a longer bar, at which point she told me the piercing was lopsided and not pierced correctly. I just felt the whole experience was unprofessional, especially with me expressing concern for the swelling and them not even taking a look at it. Through further research I’ve also found out that one of their piercers had a court case for something similar, and wasn’t allowed to pierce for a while! Just says it all really. Will be avoiding like the plague, and suggest everyone else does also. Abacus literally 2 seconds across the road are more professional, friendly and have a more sterile environment - they’re also bloody cheaper!!!"
"Very unprofessional. I got my septum done yesterday. The guy didn’t sanitise the area and he pierced it wonky. Don’t recommend, there’s plenty of better places to go to in Derby. For me it was an impulsive idea that morning, and went to whatever i saw first. First and last time I went there. Better be safe than risk an infection."
