Reviews of Newton Property Management Ltd
"Very poor services!!! We are not happy about there jobs. If you will ask them for the proof of there jobs (photos, things) they will never provide. I have checked them by my self about there jobs , cleaning and things and immediately after they are doing there jobs it is looks exactly the same like before there were doing the job Why we will pay them lot of money for cleaning as long they arecheating?"
"Contacted Newton about an urgent issue with my property and is was resolved so quickly and professionally. Really pleased with all the help from Stef to sort the issue."
"We live in a Victorian tenement block of 6, with 5 of the flats being rentals and absentee landlords. We are the only owner/occupiers and care deeply about the property from a home point-of-view and a property value point-of-view. Previously I chased owners and letting agents to get small repairs done and, more often than not, my requests were ignored. I finally managed to get Newton Property onboard as a recommended Factor and since then I have not looked back. They are reasonably priced, get good and fair quotes for repairs and manage the property (including the drying green) effortlessly. The property is in a good state compared to what it was. I use a single point of contact (Justine Lawson) who responds quickly to any requests or problems that I encounter and deals with them quickly. Consequently life in the block is good. Neighbours come and go, but I hope we will be with Newton for a long time yet."
"I recently contacted Stef at Newton Property Management Ltd who are the factors for my flat in Aberdeen due to an overflowing soil stack pipe. Stef responded quickly and actioned this by contacting a local contractor to investigate and fix the issue. This was all resolved within a matter of days. Thank you"
"Total shower of $h!t. Zero stars if possible but it's not! Where to begin. First of all, they refused to give my solicitor full information of the fees and services when purchasing the property, First Red Flag. One property in our development has a sizable debt which holds us all ransom to continue with the factoring. We have asked for a breakdown of the debt but they tell us they can't give us that information as it's not our debt, but we are liable for it. Even though they have an court order on the sale of that property to recoup the funds, they want us to pay it off before we can exit the contract, Second Red Flag. Our development is a Victorian tenement. Nearly all the communal windows are broken letting in wind and water. But this is not deemed ‘necessary work’ to the building. Third Red Flag. Boundary walls in the garden have fallen down. They know about this but this is also not deemed necessary work. Fourth Red Flag. To replace a lock and have 14 keys cut they quoted £450 WTAF! Let's do a fair costing; £11.99 for the lock plus £10 a key cut. Fitting costs might include £80 call out charge and £40 fitting let's say as it's not even 30mins of work. So that’s a total of £271.99 and let's face it keys will be cut cheaper! Nearly a £180 over-inflated price. Also they could charge us an extra 10% as the work is over £150 if you read the contract.Fifth Red Flag. Building occupants asked for gutter downpipes to be fixed or replaced. This has not been done, but a gutter clean was done £180... Gutters didn't need to be cleaned, But there is still water pissing out the downpipes when it rains causing damp. Sixth Red Flag Building occupants request storm damage repairs to be done and it’s a big job this time. Replacement gutters and some slipped slates and we suggested that as scaffolding would be needed they could arrange to check over the pointing and get it all done at the same time. 3 months and nothing has been done and when we asked for updates we have received nothing. Seventh Red Flag They pick and chose who and when they will get back to you. One owner emails on Sunday and is responded to on Monday. Another emails them on Thursday and still nothing by Wednesday. Eighth Red Flag To put it simply, this level of service is not acceptable! If I did my job so badly I'd be unemployed. We pay fees for them to chase these things and manage them on our behalf. Meanwhile, I have to call and email them to simply get an acknowledgement and nothing is actually sorted out. Tell me can I send them a bill for my time? My Rates are £35ph! Don't worry we are binning them as I post this. They are a total waste of time money and energy. And I would avoid them like the plague! Newton property mismanagement more like!"
