"Our sorry experience with Underwood Barron began when they acquired the business of our long standing accountant. It quickly became evident that they were unable to deliver the standards of service and professionalism we had enjoyed for many years prior. Their breach of our trust and confidence culminated in our company receiving a First Gazette strike-off notice due to Underwood Barron's failure to react to the annual confirmation statement until eight weeks after its filing date. The weak excuse offered was simply "the database hadn't been updated". They were also paid to manage our Registered Office post, however failed to forward or action statutory notices & reminders. Other unsatisfactory happenings during their tenure included failure to file a personal tax return on time resulting in a penalty, appealing said penalty to HMRC with a spurious reason for late filing and attempting to charge a fabricated value in Nov.2021 for the same work completed and paid for eight months earlier! Whilst Underwood Barron had the resources to acquire another accountancy practice, our experiences are evident they lacked the skillset and acumen to integrate it and thus lost us as a customer after a parody of errors. They only score one star, because there is not the option to score zero."
