"I have a 1 year old dog, I have only had him for 12 weeks and he has had 2 grooms in that time, the first was just a tidy up and the second one I had him cut a little shorter than the first. I decided to try Woof & Ready as it is local to me, as most of the reviews were positive apart from one. When I phoned to make an appointment, I asked why the bad review and I was happy with the explanation given. I dropped my 2 dogs off at 2.30pm, 1 for a full groom (which usually takes 2 hours at the other groomers) and 1 for a wash and brush. Regarding the full groom, I told her that he was last done about 6-7 weeks ago so I only wanted the new growth taking off and do not want him short like the Spaniel on the table. I told her to leave his tail alone and just give it a trim to tidy. Well, 3 hours later and the dogs were not ready so I told her not to start my other dog as it is now evening, they need feeding and 1 of my dogs is in kidney failure and needs her medication. I took my dogs straight to Woof & Ready from their afternoon walk and my friend said that the dogs may need a drink as 1 is in kidney failure. No offer was made to give my dogs a drink. I saw no water available for my dogs in the grooming room or the cages. The room looked very disorganised with "stuff" piled up everywhere and on the floor, which I did trip on. My "groomed" dog is a right mess and looks like I have had a go myself at grooming him. She has cut him short when I said not to, shaved 3 inches of fur off from the base of his tail, again when I said to leave it alone. He has very blunt and square cuts to his hair. There is no shape to him now but jagged and uneven lines. He has long tufts all over his body and legs. He did have 3 lugs on his front arms and some pink fur. I told her to cut half of the lugs and pink fur out and deal with what is left next time as I don't want bare patches. She has shaved huge patches (over 4 inches in length) on his legs down to the skin leaving bald patches. She has also nicked one of his paws. My dog had lovely white fluffy legs before I took him in and now he looks deformed and neglected with massive bald areas with chunks of long fur. Being cut too short is bad enough but because it has been done badly, he looks terrible. The same cut everywhere would have been better instead of some short and some long. I told her that he had been to the groomers at my vets twice and they said he had been fine but didn't like his face messed with. Woof & Ready told me that he had a massive hissy fit and snapped at her twice. I do wonder why? When he has returned from my previous groomers, he has never had bald patches or blunt square cuts to his fur. I have uploaded photos of what has been done to my dog. The last photo shows him after his last groom 6-7 weeks ago and what a smart lovely boy he looked. It is going to take a good 6 months for his coat to recover from this and I cant even take him anywhere to be tidied up as the only way to tidy him is to cut him even shorter and shave his legs. I am so upset at the mess he is in. He looks neglected. I have contacted Woof & Ready but they have not got back to me. Please be warned and avoid."
