"Original booking was great....as was paying balances arc. Staff were lovely and accommodating. However, less than 2weeks before we were due to fly out we received an email to say that we would be charged an additional fee by the hotel for resort fees. After days of phone calls and being told not to contact their agent or hotel, I was starting to get stressed out because we were (quote) ' guaranteed no hidden or additional fees'. We were told that we would have to pay and try to claim it back, then told to talk to the hotel manager when we were there, then told 'it's not our fault.... the lady who served us even confirmed that she remembers that we had paid for a more expensive hotel to guarantee that there would be no additional costs!! In the end I contacted the hotel directly who simply explained (within an hour of my email) that the resort fees were not applicable to us, only to reservations from september onward. I informed polkadot of this and STILL haven't received any form of apology for the stress caused as a result of them miss-informin us of these fees. Overall: great agents but only when things are going smoothly."
