"AW. Porter&Son is a good ol' fashioned Family jewellers. I took my Great Uncle's clock to be repaired- free estimate ( overstated in the event), full explanation of work required. Quickly served, despite other customers on a Saturday afternoon (clocks separate department). Few month's wait, including a few weeks for testing- reassuring ! It's chiming as I type. I've taken my Grandmother's too. The jewellery looked classy ( not Ratner's here!) and the staff seemed knowledgeable ( man posting). I parked right outside. Just check the opening hours before you go."
