"As you can see from my reviews I very rarely leave a bad review and to be fair my gripe is not with deeside holiday park it’s with the owners Woodside leisure I paid 130 last minute to stay at deeside 3 adults dog awning ( my son always sleeps in awning sleeping compartment everywhere we go Booked late thursday and on Sunday got email confirming my upcoming holiday in the email they printed clearly NO ONE ALLOWED to sleep in awning I phoned reservations stating I hadn’t notice this and was there anything they could do even go be me a voucher to book later for just me and my partner . They would not entertain me I asked to speak to someone and they said they would refer it to head office but it could take 7 days and rudely told me I should have checked the terms and conditions as it was there My mistake if you read through the screed of terms and conditions you will find it all honestly I did read terms and conditions but glanced through it - I read all the conditions for tourers but nothing about awning rule was there if you scroll further it’s under rules I did point out that when the drop down for booking awning or booking extra person surely it makes more sense to flag a warning about rule for awning I told them they would have to cancel holiday as it was in less than 3 days Head office did not phone me or email me it wasn’t till I emailed them they emailed me to say they did reply I emailed them to show them they didn’t they eventually apologised and said the reply came through reservations email and not head office None of my touring friends have heard of this rule I will avoid Woodside in future I use the aviemore site before Woodside took over and I’ve used the Callander site years ago - I will be avoiding them there is far nicer sites in aviemore - glenmore is amazing and in Callander Kellie bridge is a fantastic site A lot of my friends will not use Woodside leisure sites - in my opinion they need to be more customer focused and stop hiding important information under screeds of terms and condition -place it at the point of booking"
"Lovely quiet site. Well kept grounds and immaculate facilities. Shower was a little on the cool side for us but not really a problem.. Everything done by email before arrival which uses ANPR. Felt this was a bit impersonal. It’s nice to be welcomed by a person."
"Beware of hidden terms and conditions. Booked in to go here with family but didn't get to go. Wasn't until we were sent a welcome email 3 days before when we realised they don't allow anyone to sleep in the awning. We have a sleeping compartment that attaches to the side and one of our party members would have had to sleep here due to the caravan being a 3 berth. They indicated it was something to do with health and safety yet plenty of sites allow it so clearly not an issue. When booking, it doesn't clearly highlight they don't allow anyone to sleep in the awning when selecting an awning on their booking platform. You would need to read their terms and conditions before booking and come away from the booking process to do that. Even within their terms and conditions, it is hidden down near the bottom rather than near the top or within the section about caravans. When we realised the issue, we called and emailed reservations to let them know and asked for a refund as we would have to go elsewhere. When we phoned the reservations team they were not interested. Passed it up to head office whilst highlighting we ticked the terms and conditions box and it was our own fault so they would not issue a refund. Part true but I feel the company is deceiving customers by not making something so important more prominent. Multiple emails later and some pretty poor customer service from staff, still no email from head office despite reservations saying they would get back to us in 5 working days. We eventually emailed head office direct whilst copying in the email trail. Their response... a rubbish email trying to say we didn't read the previous emails correctly and that head office did reply. Yet all emails are from reservations and no indication that they are from head office. In one email, they specifically say head office will get in touch. Clearly they can't read their own emails. Their customer service from the company is shocking and we are down £130 quid. Won't even entertain this company going forward and would suggest everyone read their terms and conditions before booking. If they respond to this review, no doubt they will be all, oh but it's in our terms and conditions etc but key point is the poor customer service in our mind. Shocking company and customer care and definitely won't be booking in the future."
"Stayed in Pod 2 for for 3night break with our pup. Pod is ideal for short break as small the park is gorgeous kept really clean. Once dog walk trail at start of park as well as a field for dogs to run free highly recommend"
