Reviews of Hampton by Hilton Aberdeen Airport
"Parking is non-existent. Cars are dumped on pavements, road, grass and anywhere possible. I noticed cars/vans that hadn't moved throughout my stay. Restaurant was basic via an App with premade food/cans,bottles of drinks and no option to order food/drink at the bar."
"Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Only thing that soured my stay was the nightshift staff. The ambience totally changed and they made it clear they didn't want anyone in the bar area once they took over. It was ashame really."
"Stayed here while re-doing my offshore survival at Survivex round the corner. Not a bad stay, but it felt more like a premier inn than a Hilton. I was considering staying the the Moxy, but saw this as a chance to keep my gold points alive, and perhaps get a better quality experience. Next time I’ll try the Moxy. The room was clean and tidy, if a bit dated. No USB charging sockets, which are becoming common. The smallish TV was unplugged when I arrived, and only had some digital channels working. Not a smart TV, so not possible to use with streaming or casting services. Had a fight with the heating, which seemed to turn off in the night if you set it too high. The shower temperature control was limited at a just acceptable temperature. I’m not a child, so I expect to be trusted with temp settings. Several other small fittings in the room were broken or damaged, and there was a mystery extra kettle base which didn’t fit the supplied kettle, but was still refilled with team and coffee making stuff every day. Breakfast was ok, in the form of an unmanned buffet, although I had to search the tables every morning to find the elusive sachets of brown sauce. Never managed to get into the fitness Center (forgot to ask the desk when/if it was open), and my digital key didn’t work anywhere. I have stayed at several Hilton’s worldwide, perhaps I misunderstood the difference in quality between a classic Hilton and a Hampton, but not very impressed."
"The hotel is lacking all of the facilities you’d expect from a Hilton hotel. The gym isn’t available for use, the staff are mediocre at best and most of the time unhelpful with even simple things like warming up food. The prices at the bar are extremely expensive for a selection of alcohol or food that is lacking. The breakfast was okay, however there was a lot of food lacking as the staff didn’t replace the empty trays since there was only “45 minutes left of breakfast” And also there’s no other pastries apart from a packed butter croissant. TV in the room isn’t even able to connect to your device so you could listen to some music. All in all wouldn’t recommend for the price they’re asking."
