"Great experience, would/will happily book with them in the future rather than paying the frankly extortionate fees charged by the "Taxi" cabs at the station. Under £8 from Lychpit to Basingstoke station (Feb 23), bargain!! Was going to London for a work do/meetings and needed to be there early. Booked (on the app no less, very up to date) the day before for a pick up at 0645. I'll admit I was a little skeptical as everyone has an app these days and they are usually rubbish. Not so with Alpha. Got lots of texts/push notifications to update me with when the driver was on the way, what car and who the driver was. Only small gripe was the house number did not seem to carry through to the driver so he waited at the top of the road. Thanks I could see him on the app so I walked the 30 seconds to the end of the road. MUCH better experience than the "Taxi" on the way back who charged nearly double what Alpha charged. Save your money and book with Alpha."

"Had two cabs booked with Alpha Cars to take a group of us home after a wedding. Despite the advance booking, they were more than 45 minutes late - and only came following several phone calls made stood outside in the rain. Once we were collected, one driver was fine (thank you!) but the second attempted to charge more than the agreed fair. Simply not good enough, especially when trying to transport older/vulnerable people. Recommend you make other arrangements / have them confirm that they are actually going to turn up when they say they will."

"These guys seem buttoned up, responded to emails in good time, since I'm an overseas traveler. pre booked. the car arrived within the appointed time and provided good service. Not sure what the bad reviews are about. driver was courteous and helpful."

"Do not use this cab company for critical journies. They often do not turn up. My household have had 3 early morning airport journies in the last 3 months where they have not turned up. We nearly missed our flights on all occasions and on one occasion had to drive ourselves to ensure we got our flight. Rather than apologise they try to argue with you over the phone. I have complained to them via email on multiple occasions and not received a response. Customer service is the bottom of their priority list and all they care about is maximising profit. This is the cheapest company in Basingstoke but it’s worth paying a little extra to know they will turn up."
