"This is called Dam Health now. We booked here for PCR tests and found the whole experience excellent. We had booked for the Friday but had to move them to Saturday a quick email on Thursday and within 30 mins the appointment had been changed at no extra cost. We downloaded the app before we arrived as per the instructions when you book and that made the process simple. We waited outside for 5 or so mins then went in and we back out in less than 5 mins. The app does seem pointless and a bit of overkill but its their process and it works so just follow it and the process will be smooth."
"Had an 8am appointment but when we got there (in the pouring rain with 2 small children in tow) we had to wait outside and queue anyways. You have to download an app that is super dodgy and takes ages to set up. It was so frustrating that I almost gave up and thought..surely it can’t be necessary for the test, I mean who expects you to download and register for a random app for the sake of 1 covid test…? But when we got there we realised that the long queue was mainly due to people having to download and register for this app there and then (and struggling) so i’m glad i’d done it beforehand to speed up the appointment but it’s a lot of unnecessary hassle anyways. Thw lady at reception was a bit grumpy and rude; i get that she would have been anywhere but there at 8am on a Friday morning but a smile or kind word would have been nice. Test was fine, they took a throat swab. We were in and out in 1 minute. We were told at reception and then after the test too, that we would receive the test results within 24 hrs and would receive both an email and a notification once the results were ready. We received neither… eventually after almost 24 hours I decided to log into this app anyways and low and behold, the result was there… but we were starting to worry that it wouldn’t arrive before we needed it. No date/time on when the tests were done either. So basically quite glitchy and frustrating. Now that we have the app already and know what to expect, i’d use them again. But wouldn’t necessarily recommend them unless they either get some more very necessary info on their website, or they sort out the glitches and technological difficulties. Another reason for the low score is because they charge you a £20 admin fee for each PCR test if you need to change/cancel which I find outrageously expensive. The government announced the changes for rules less than 48 hours in advance yet they wouldn’t budge on the fees at all (even though had we known about the changes, we wouldn’t have needed to book a PCR/could have booked a LFT to begin with…)"
"Now DAM Covid testing place, went there for LF test after returning from cruise. A text reminder with what to bring and also down load My Health Passport App that they insist on would have been helpful."
