Reviews of Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve
"Lovely walk even on a dull day, great hides, perfect for birdwatching."
"Great spot for birdwatching! A number of different hides with a range of wildlife throughout the reserve."
"Thought we'd drop in for a couple of hours and ended up staying all day. Amazing array of birds and lovely walks. The forest hide was a particular hit."
"What a lovely place to visit , the scenery is amazing especially the trees and the trails, I love the little signs telling you the plants aswell !!"
"There's so much to see and do here... if you can find it! We're not local but were holidaying in the New Forest and wanted a wooded walk and an opportunity to see some wildlife but the signposting is poor. Perhaps that's the 'cunning plan' as it was quite and peaceful. I suppose you could call it a 'hidden gem'! There are plenty of well signposted trails once you're in but wellies or walking boots are a must! The bird hides are well positioned and there was plenty to see even in winter. Best of all, it's all free (although donations are encouraged)."
