"We visited Hales Hall for the first time on Sunday morning for breakfast on recommendation of family members. The Hall itself was amazing in a lovely countryside spot and beautifully decorated for Christmas. I had the small breakfast which was completely adequate for myself and I can honestly say was the nicest breakfast I have had in a long time. The staff were lovely and the price was really good. I shall definitely be back for another breakfast and maybe to try an evening meal. Thank you."
"Nice little campsite, basic facilities but clean. There's a lots of native trees in this area so the autumn colours are really beautiful. Tents are pitched on a sloping field and the top end is more sloping than halfway down to bottom, so would recommend not pitching at the top end where possible. Cheadle is really handy for Asda and Morrisons. We enjoyed our visit and loved the views from the site. The showers weren't pleasant to use unfortunately. They're old and they're not adjustable temperature-wise ... we were nearly skinned alive because they're far too hot. The shower heads are old and are set high up at an angle that means the water is spurting everywhere. They might need de scaling. They're push button but each push only lasts about 8 seconds. I spoke to 2 regular caravan visitors to this site, who told me that they have to stand holding the push button halfway in, as they can't cope with it going full blast. We completely understand why push button is favoured because we've stayed in places where people just leave showers running and waste water and energy. But would recommend new showers so the user is able to set the temperature control and perhaps set the push button timer to something like 1 minute."
"Me, my husband and 4 year old have just had a great stay here over the bank holiday. Our evening meal at the Grosvenor was second to none, the staff are so lovely and friendly. The staff on the campsite were also friendly and very hardworking. Toilet and shower block were kept clean (obviously a bit wet and grassy during peak times but soon cleaned),showers were hot but not great, but who cares we were camping! We will definitely be returning! X"
"We used Hales Hall as a stop off on the way north, for one night. Pitch was hardstanding and good quality, overlooking duck pond. Took quite a length to get to electric and water though, be prepared ( not a negative just a warning for cable length). Facilities were clean and tidy and plenty bin spots and chemical waste points. Check in was really friendly and welcoming, a big plus. Restaurant was the highlight as we ordered take away on the Sunday evening when restaurant was busy and the food was still brilliant. Really well prepared and the staff were really helpful and seemed to be enjoying their shifts. The choice was excellent and the quality superb, really great experience. We left after one peaceful night with no drama at all."
