Reviews of North Wessex Downs AONB
"Beautiful walk with long views and interesting geography. The car park is free to Blue Badge holders though watch out for potholes, it is not really a suitable walking, pushing destination for anyone with mobility issues. It was not at all busy on a weekday afternoon despite being during the school holidays at Christmas time. The paths were clear and in good condition. Where the walking was across fields it was not especially muddy given the heavy recent rain... walking boots would be adequate."
"Nice enough walk but is spoiled by the fact you are restricted by a path which is fenced on both sides."
"Some beautiful walks among livestock, autumn colours glistening in the sun & a quaint church amongst the fields"
"Large area of agricultural land with gentle rolling hills and easy walking. The harvested fields are looking wonderful in the late autumn evening sunshine. Aerial pictures are from hot air balloon flight between Hungerford Newtown and Boxford."
"Wow. Just wow. This place has so many little nooks and crannies that you could go there over and over. I managed to find a beautiful hidden lake with loads of different species of birds. Including a swan, which I got a beautiful picture of. This place makes me feel like I'm travelling the world again. With loads of different terrains. This place is truly wonderful."
