"Took my 100yr old father here yesterday after a fall on his drive. Was seen and had his wounds dressed in an hour. Would have given five stars if there had been more than four clinical staff on duty. The people who were there were giving great service. Thanks"
"I attended as a walk in with my daughter who had been poorly with a fever for 5 days and developed a rash and I couldn’t get a doctors appointment. I expected the 4 hour wait. After 6 hours and a couple of trips to reception to ask about length of wait a nurse called me in, she informed me I had been called twice and was quite rude when I said I hadn’t been called or at least hadn’t heard my daughters name she was very dismissive of this and made me feel like I was to blame. To put things into context the waiting room was really busy, I did not leave the waiting room once, there was a loud TV on playing music, lots of noise from the other people and kids waiting and I was on the far side of the waiting room in front of one of the treatment rooms. I observed the male nurse practitioner in the treatment room in front of me calling names and walking around the corner to find people, and there was no missing the patient names when he called them. I had seen the other 2 nurses who I now know were seeing patients down the corridor from reception calling the odd name but not once did they actually come into the main waiting room so I assumed they were maybe seeing bookings or taking bloods as there was a queue of people around reception waiting for bloods, I often had to strain to hear them and it’s quite possible due to the fact that the room was noisy and they didn’t come into the main waiting area that my daughter's name was not heard. The whole experience was stressful and unorganised as you can imagine 6 hours is a long time to be waiting with a poorly 2 1/2 year old. All I’m asking is please please ask your nurses to come through and walk the waiting room calling names so this kind of experience is not repeated. I bought this up with the receptionist when I left and she agreed that the nurses should be coming in to the waiting room and would pass it on to them."
"Very rude and unhelpful staff. Would not recommend. When I attended, my pain and symptoms were completely dismissed. The nurse didn't offer any help, care or sympathy and more focused on cutting me of without giving me the chance to explain my worries. Fastforward a few days and my symptoms go from bad to worse so I decide to pay for a private GP appointment. After taking time to actually listen to my symptoms and checking me over, she immediately refers me to one of the doctors at the hospital for immediate treatment, as my infection had gotten so bad they were worried I would become septic. Total patient negligence from this walk in clinic, as my infection could have been treated earlier if they had actually taken the time to actually listen and care for my needs."
"I was feeling unwell and had already spoken with local pharmacists during recent weeks, trying several remedies to keep a urine infection at bay, but without success. The problem then escalated at the weekend, but I couldn't get an urgent appointment with my own GP. I felt poorly enough to consider the walk-in Centre. I was anxious, not knowing what to expect. However my experience was very positive. I was seen by triage within 15 minutes. Waited about another 90 minutes, but well worth it and the time soon passed by. I saw Yvonne, who was absolutely fantastic! So thorough and reassuring - I almost cried with relief, that someone was taking the time to listen to me, examine me, diagnose, advise and prescribe. It felt like the " good old days" at my GP practice, before the trend for phone consultations! I won't hesitate to use this service again if necessary and can recommend it without reservation. Thankyou everyone, especially Yvonne. Valerie Annis"
"My Daughter hurt her knee and we had an appointment booked here from 111, we were greeted at the reception by a lovely young man who took our details, within half an hour my daughter was seen by a lovely advanced practitioner who was very kind and gave us all the information we need. So Thank you all very much you are doing a fantastic job."
