Reviews of Central Reading Hotels
"Stay here every year during the reading festival. The service is always really friendly, the rooms are basic. Chaged to 4 starts because the service is so good."
"Currently staying at this B&B and I'm always a bit apprehensive with B&B's instead of hotels...I needn't have been....comfy beds, nice bathroom..brilliant location with stunning canal walks less than a minute away...and the service has been unreal..nothing seems to much trouble we got there really early and the manageress/owner (didn't catch her name) could not have been friendlier. She got rooms ready for us asap and rang when they were ready...I can't recommended the place enough and will definitely stay again if in the area. Best B&B I've stayed in. Mr Carl Leaver (Newcastle)"
"Asked questions to the staff while in area to confirm booking and prepare for future stay. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Will have to update once actually staying in rooms, but definitely looking forward to it."
"This actually comprises of three Lodges in the same terrace. We were in the Caversham Bridge Lodge closest to the bridge. The reservations manager, Traci, was very friendly and helpful throughout the weekend. She asked me to call 5 minutes before before I arrived and was standing in the car park, in the rain, ready to direct me and move a cone reserving the space. The car park to this lodge is accessed directly from the road down the side of No 174 , next door. ( see Google Earth) We occupied a downstairs front twin which was a good size with some traffic noise as was to be expected, and a compact double next to it which was very quiet. Both rooms were very clean and well decorated, with a desk, TV and tea/coffee making equipment and had good sized shower/ toilet rooms en suite. The double did not have room for a wardrobe , (Otherwise it would have been 5 stars) but there were drawers and a row af coat hooks with hangers, so it was adequate for our weekend visiting relatives. We had a very pleasant stay, and I think it was good value at £200 for two single occupancy rooms for two nights. The nearby Premier Inn wanted £290. For breakfast, diagonally across the road was Richfields bistro grill and, a bit further along, the popular Gorge cafe at the roundabout."
"Bit of a hole but has digital TV and a walk-in shower. Has as much charm as a travelodge (none) but rooms are smaller and walls are incredibly thin. Paid £50 a night, felt ripped off."
