Reviews of Cornerstone Arts Centre
"Great small venue. Bar available on gig nights and has Loose Cannon beer. Seats in the venue are cosy but okay. If you are sat in middle of the row please don't arrive last, it is just annoying to everyone else. Venue staff are always pleasant and helpful. Toilets are clean and rarely have to queue. Pretty good place all round!"
"Great venue and staff, a hidden gem."
"I only visited the cafe so that's what I will talk about. A lovely addition to Didcot's growing food and drink and just hanging out scene. The day we went they were understaffed but up front about it, and if you are not in a hurry and want a chilled out vibe with some really tasty sandwich-type food cakes and drinks ( not really set up as a full kitchen) then this is the place. The staff were warm and generally delightful. As I will be moving into the area soon I am really happy that this place exists. I can see lots of friendships being made and strengthened here over a delicious bagel or bowl of soup."
"This is a great place to go - especially if you are disabled and using a wheelchair. Everything is accessible and they do some great shows. Actually, their programming for shows is second to non considering that it's in Didcot of all places. The programmer must be well connected and know their stuff as we are used to seeing these kind of shows in very art house theatres in London and other cities. My only critism is of the cafe. The cafe is great - but not so much for the wheelchair user if you're ordering as the counter is very high and far back. Thankfully I'm usually with others who can help. But other people might not have this privilege. Also, the entire building is very autism friendly - except for the cafe. If you have autism as all of my family do then you really might struggle with the cafe. So either being packed lunch or use one of rhe many, many restaurants or eateries available just outside the door of this building."
"Visited to see A Christmas Carol which was beyond superb. 3rd show we've seen there and they've all been good but this was exceptional. Such entertainment without me need to travel into London."
