Having the rolling machine to press 1000/32 type profiled sheets at short notice helps us help our clients in emergency situations, sometimes obtaining sheets within 2 days or less, rather than waiting 7-10 from most of the manufacturers. "My experience in dealing with IPL (Southampton) was to say the least was absolutely horrendous. I ordered 5 sheets of 32/1000 plastic coated roofing sheets to be cut to 2.7 mtrs long by telephone. Rob from sales was efficient in giving me a price and asked me to confirm the order by email. Following this I contacted Rob to change the length to 2.57mtrs. Rob accepted this and Confirmed the new length.. I arranged collection for Friday the 14th June. On arrival I was told that the guillotine had broken and that the sheets had not been cut. They told me that they contacted me by phone, but I did not receive a call they did however send an email that I had no access to on that morning. I was then asked if I could return on the Saturday morning and that they would contact me as soon as they were cut. Rob took both my landline and mobile numbers and said that they call me as soon as the sheets were ready. Nobody contacted me on Saturday morning. On the following Monday I called Rob and asked if the sheets were now cut. He said they were and so I went to collect them at 10am. On arrival I saw the sheets ready for me to load but thought that they looked on the long side. After paying the invoice I checked the length and discovered them to be 2.7 mtrs long. I asked if they could be re-cut and Rob went to see the manager. The manager then came and told me that the size he was given was 2.7mtrs and that he would not re-cut them and then rudely said that I could either take it or leave it. I said that the whole thing had been a disaster and he agreed. he then just walked of. Rob explained that he did not work on the Saturday morning. The attitude taken by the manager was not how I would expect someone in that position to have. I know that this order was not very big but as a customer I expect a much better service. I will not be using this company again and would never recommend them to any future customers."
