"Bought a ford fiesta in August with loads of faults that weren’t mentioned in the advert- heaters don’t work on any setting apart from full blast, mirror adjusters don’t work, inner front tyres were bald, cv boots were all spit and needed replacing, headlight adjusters don’t work and after having it 4 months it started to develop a gearbox issue- it would clunk whilst changing gear and slip when cold pulling off, I informed them but they weren’t interested at all and told me they wouldn’t do anything to resolve any issues. Last month the gearbox finally gave in and it’s telling the car it’s in gear so I can’t even start the car. I’ve rang the dealer and they won’t do a thing to resolve or even help fix the car, absolutely cowboys and I would avoid at all costs unless you want to waste your money on miss described cars with underlying and hidden issues."
"Mark and his team always go the extra mile to make sure they try and exceed your expectations. Flexible approach to any vehicle issues that i challenge him with. Looks after and maintains my citroen relay motorhome conversion with care and professionalism at all times. Helped me get our previous motorhome looking its best in preparation to sell (see pic)"
"Can't recommend enough, brought a VW T5 off Mark and he's been absolutely brilliant from start to finish, lovely bloke and literally couldn't do enough for us. He allowed us to customise the van add modifications and paint how we wanted, 100% recommend and will be using him for all MOT service etc from now on. Communication was brilliant all the way through, progress pics all the time, couldn't be happier!"
"My first encounter with Amos Motors Ltd was unfortunately when my parked car was hit by a customer of Amos, while she was trying to park her car on 9th July 2021. I will begin by saying, Mark was very friendly and I do feel that in other circumstances, they may have carried out a better job, but unfortunately the quality of 'repair' on my car, is shocking. Around 20 minutes after having hit my car, Mrs W called and asked me to take my car to the garage for Mark to have a look at. I explained this was not possible, I was at work and could not leave to go to the garage. Another 15 minutes ish passed and Mark then appeared, at my work, to look at the damage to my car... i was taken aback by this, having told Mrs W that I was at work and having been given no prior warning. Nonetheless, upon inspecting the damage to my car, Mark guaranteed that he would be able to sort the damage, no problem. Alongside this, he began to tell me that they would also have the car fully valeted, as an 'extra'. This was not requested, or necessary, I just wanted the damage sorted. At this stage, he was very eager to take my car on the spot, while this shows proactiveness, I had never heard of the garage and had no real idea who this man is. I then agreed that I would take my car to the garage on Monday 12th July at the agreed time of 9.30am. As we agreed this, Mark told me that he would have a courtesy car ready for me, so I still had a car for my work. 9.25am on Monday 12th July rolls around and I receive a call, asking where I was. It seems as though they had forgotten the agreed time, i ensured that I was on my way and would be with them soon. Upon arriving at the garage in Shardlow, I am now informed that the courtesy car is not there... so I cannot have one. This is very frustrating as I had spoken to him 10 minutes prior, and this was not mentioned! Mark proceeded to offer me a lift, in my own car, back to Castle Donington, as this is where the car was being valeted anyway. This was very frustrating as I was then left with no car for my work, or a way to pick my car up. I was now relying on my colleagues for lifts. I have not said anything to Amos at this stage, as I am able to look past the inconvenience of having been lied to about a car. At around 3.15pm I receive a call informing me that the car is fixed and that Mark would be happy to drop this off.... if I can then drop him back at the garage! This is VERY unprofessional and I then have to leave my work, to take him back. Once again, Amos have inconvenienced me! Once I then get back to work, my colleague and a body shop mechanic, who, by pure luck, happened to be in our office at the time, had a look at the work carried out on my car. Immediately, the mechanic informed me that it was in no way an adequate repair and I received a quote of £100 to fix the damage. Now, the ever so lovely lady who hit my car, refuses to pay. Claiming that she has paid Amos to fix the damage. As you can see from the photos in my review of the before and after, there is still scrapes on my car, and it looks almost as though a fill in pen has been used to ' hide ' some of the damage. This doesn't even match the colour of my car. I would also like to note, my windshield wiper was damaged and i had planned to have this replaced at Halfords. Amos Motors went ahead and replaced this, informing me that they would charge Mrs W d for this.... Overall, i feel that Amos did the 'Above and Beyond' jobs to try and distract me from the poor job that they carried out on my car. While Amos may be a good garage normally, it is unfortunate that due to Mrs W choosing them, I have now had to leave this review."
"I've recently bought an Audi TT from Amos Motors and the customer service was genuinely exceptional. Mark was really helpful and friendly, and ensured that I knew what was going on with the car from the day I viewed it to the day that I collected it - including sending me photos and videos of the work it was having done! (I've attached a couple pictures below) I'm super happy with my car, and have no doubt that I could return to Amos Motors for advice regarding my car should I need any. I highly recommend Amos Motors to anyone who is looking to make a personalised and stress-free car purchase!"
