"Funky Barnet has been my hairdressers for years and years now. The staff are always friendly and helpful. You can receive student discount (I believe) as well as reduced prices if you're a teacher. The cost depends on the superiority of stylist. It is expensive so I don't go as often as I may like. They give you a drink and biscuit on arrival and make you feel welcome."

"A wonderful salon experience right from stepping through the door. All the girls were with customers but I still received a warm friendly welcome and was attended to straight away. I was looking for some advice on treatments for my very damaged ( through too much bleaching) hair. Hayley the owner came over to ask me a few questions and made some suggestions for some in salon treatments, colour advice and also some products that I could use at home. I was lucky enough that they could fit me straight in and I was delighted with the cut and the treatment offered. I left with a silky soft brand new hair cut. Thanks to Hayley and her team!"

"They wouldn't thin my hair or do foils. Insisted I needed hair masks every other month. Charged me to dry my hair and didn't blend the layers. £70+ for a trim and colour leaving the salon with wet hair and all done by a student. The student was nice enough but the supervisor was rude and didn't listen to what I wanted. Went there for months thinking all UK salons must be this rotten. Nope just this one. Will never go back. Don't waste your money."

I only like Hayley to cut my hair - as a curly haired person herself she gets how to cut it just right. Staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about their products. The welcome drink and biscuit helps as well for great customer service :)"
