Reviews of Old Royal Oak
"Great atmosphere great selection of drinks very friendly and helpful staff. And live bands on weekend."
"Great pub and a credit to the Landlady Michelle pity that the gents loos weren't sorted even we like to pee in a mold free setting (not Michelle's fault)"
"Fownes beers, good crowd, clean tidy traditional pub"
"If you’re looking for a pub with great stuff on tap, good live music, good atmosphere and don’t mind it being a tad busy on a Friday evening, a great pub to visit. Prices aren’t too bad. Had a pint of the Royal Oak Bitter, came in a awesome looking glass, cost me £3.60. My Dad told me recently if you’re paying less than £4 for a pint of Bass in Burton, you’re doing alright. So all in all, one of Burton’s standout downtown pubs for sure!"
"Incredible pub. These owners know their gins, rums and beers. Biggest choice of gins with something for everyone. The staff offered recommendations throughout, each time offering something different. The rums again, different to what you will see anywhere. The beers were superb with a full mix from pales through to stouts. The pub does homemade pizzas which I will definitely be trying next time. The pub is very clean and well presented inside. This place offers something different to all the other places in Burton. I would recommend the pub and I will definitely be returning when next in Burton."
