"Food was good, and general atmosphere inside the pub was nice, but we had to wait more than an hour for our meal. The ladies toilets were in a very bad state (the floor in both stalls was wet, the crevices in the tiles were riddled with mould, and the doors could definitely do with a fresh coat of paint). Would go again for the convenience of having a drink in central Winchester, but probably not for a meal."
"We passed by chance. My wife saw the sign, so we turned into the narrow alley. I can't prove whether it really is the oldest pub. But no matter what, it's a super rustic pub, tradition and cosiness combined. Top service! Great selection of beers and drinks."
