"A Doner Kebab experience with a difference! We had lunch here recently to celebrate a birthday and enjoyed the visit. GDK has a unique menu of Doner Kebabs and variations of it such as the Coco Doner, Crunch Doner burger, Berlin Strasse, Doner box etc. Their standard Doner kebab also has a unique taste, quite unlike the run-of-the-mill Doner kebab takeaway joints. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. We loved it. Keep it up, GDK! One aspect where I think it needs improvement is that of service. While we were served our order very quickly (great job, GDK Aylesbury!), the person who served us seemed very cold and lacked a smile on her face. There weren't too many customers in the restaurant either. A service with a smile would have enhanced the customer experience. I think GDK lacks the appeal of a restaurant, although it has lots of seating space. The place seems to be geared for takeaway orders and seat-in dining is just an optional facility! GDK needs to decide what it wants to be. If it's a restaurant it aspires to be, then it needs to provide the full restaurant experience- a full menu with hot drinks and desserts and a more engaged staff. Best wishes, GDK!"

"Wasted money this time. I have ordered 2 kebabs, one with extra meat, but clearly there is no extra meat here, maybe extra chips. No dips in the bag, and salad was not great either. and Very disappointed as they used to have quality kebabs when they first opened."

"When they first opened I was ordering from there most weekends, the quality and portions of food were amazing I couldn’t fault them, but the last few times I have ordered the quality and portions are awful, not worth the money at all! Very disappointing! I won’t be going there anymore"

"Well located German Doner Kebab. Very good quality that does not disappoint. I really like this brand, chicken tastes great, portions are generous, they combine well with sauces in a very crispy tasty kebab bread. Typical decor for the franchise, with comfy booths. Definitely will be coming back."

"I was hesitant to try this place seeing as when I do have a kebab these days I normally go for a Chicken Shish (big whole pieces of Chicken grilled on a skewer..) and I haven’t touched “Lamb kebab” for years from your traditional dodgy Turkish Kebab houses as in my opinion you just don’t know what’s in it!! Anyhow, I decided to with Doner Chips n Cheese - I asked for chicken but got told after I queued up it would be a 30-min wait which I accepted. I noticed on the till it was coming up as “mixed meat” so I mentioned this to the lad and he said he would sort it out. So I was sat at my table for only a few mins when my food was brought over! I was delighted until I realised it was mixed meat… not what I had ordered even though I’d stressed this to the guy taking my order! I figured I’d just go with it as I was hungry. To be fair, I really enjoyed the food! It’s a different experience from your normal kebab shop, the mix of cheese, jalapeños etc makes for a tasty treat. I will be going back, that’s for sure - I just hope they get my order right next time. The lady who showed me to my table etc was very good at her job, 5-stars for her. Toilet was very clean."
