"I've found the Webber Independent to be a really down-to-earth and friendly school. It provides a very personalised learning approach and nurtures all of the children as individuals, progressing them according to their ability. Great range of extra-curricular activities on offer too, plus small class sizes and inspiring teachers."
"The school itself seeemd nice and the staff very welcoming. However - my concern is the school is marketed as non selective when this is not strictly the case. My child was invited for 2 days which she really enjoyed, was put through various tests and then I was told she fell short of the admission standard. Needless to say she was disappointed and I felt bad for putting her through it and giving her false hope. If the school wishes to select children of a certain ability that's OK. Its normal in many schools. However I do feel misled. I believed the tests to be a way to identify her strengths and areas for development, not to be used as a deciding factor for admission. 18 months on from this review and I wanted to advise those considering Webber to look around other schools too. Webber was our first and now I have more experience, I can see how tatty and under subscribed it is in comparison. Honestly this is not sour grapes! We since got into another school that is far nicer in terms of facilities and academic achievement. You have to wonder why class sizes are so tiny in a big place like MK? Why don't people want to go to Webber? Just do your research and compare before you accept the first place you see."
