"I had a consultation regarding the submission of an income tax return with Tax Assist in Dun Laoghaire. I was happy with the meeting and the content discussed. I was told by the staff member that he would email me the quotation the following day. I waited for 2 weeks before deciding to contact him. He didn't reply to my email or return any of my calls. I waited a few more days before contacting the main office to see what the issue was. I was told that they would get him to contact me. I waited another week and still nothing so I tried him again, still nothing so I tried the main office again. I was given the same response that he would be in touch. After a week I still heard nothing, so I rang the main office and told them that it would be my last time calling, and if they didn't want my business all they had to do was say it. I waited a few more days and wasn't surprised that they didn't get back to me. In the end I went with another tax consultant who ended up being €200 cheaper (Tax Assist price was €500 for an IT return) and far more professional. I don't know why they treated me in this way but I would not recommend going with this service."
