"A truly horrible experience. Derek, who helped set up my first and only appointment was very kind, and promised me this matter would be followed up internally. But suffering from BPD and PTSD, I decided to book a DBT counselling service with the trained therapist here. ( I won’t name her, but she is on their website) The problems were the following. To begin with the therapist was five minutes late to our appointment, and didn’t allow for our appointment to be extended by the five minutes she was late. During the session, she was on her phone, it was on loud, while doing exercises. The session itself was 40 minutes long (45 including the time she was late) and instead of a hour. The Printouts for DBT were out only half printed, could not do any exercises because of this. That unprepared with documentation it took over 10 minutes before we started anything or to talk. By this time 15 minutes of 40 had been wasted. The ‘ therapist ‘ didn’t have a pen to begin with, further proof of how unorganised she was. I don’t feel this level of professionalism is acceptable. People come to these services, with serious mental health issues and we expect to treated at least with respect and dignity. What transpired here was neither. But she was very quick to take my money and send the second half of the printouts, four days late. Avoid this place at all cost’s if you suffer from BPD or require DBT. I have since gone to the Curam clinic In Swords, and have found it to be excellent. Shocking experience overall bar Derek. If I could of, I would of given 0 stars."
