Reviews of How Hill National Nature Reserve
"Always a pleasure to have a walk around here. The scenery is nice and you should see plenty of wildlife. The sunsets are particularly nice if you get the weather for it"
"Beautiful place to have a walk, went there with the family and they all loved it. Lovely views of the windmills whilst walking along this river. These are some of the photos I took while on the walk"
"Great reserve, we found the facilities not open in late October. But great autumnal colours"
"Although I have lived near by I visited for the first time this weekend. The garden by the house us lovely, quiet, peaceful with views over the field to a mill and the water. Toad Cottage is sweet and a reminder of how live used to be. I finished the day with a walk around the secret garden. We were lucky to have it to ourselves. We sat on one of the frequent benches and just listened to the birds and breeze in the trees. I will curtained go again."
"One of my favourite moorings on the Norfolk Broads, How Hill is alongside the picturesque River Ant. With excellent mooring facilities, a visit to the nature trail (now dog friendly) is a must. The secret gardens are a riot of colour when the rhododendrons and azaleas are in flower and there is now a cafe to enjoy some refreshments in lovely surroundings. Visit the eel catchers cottage for an insight in a bygone way of life and watch the sun set behind the nearby Turf Fen Mill on the opposite side of the river. What's not to like?"
