"Fantastic walk along the broads, loads of wildlife."
"Always worth a wander while visiting Strumpshaw, especially in Winter when the Water Deer gather here, and hundreds of Russian White Fronted Geese arrive along with Pink Footed Geese and others. The marshes themselves often throw up a few rarities too. It is also the place for one of the largest Corvid roosts in the country, best watched from the train station platform. It's a famous site for this, it's even inspired books There are no facilities here, but there is a small hide (not worth going in, the same or better view is had from outside). Be aware the top path along the river can be very muddy and slippery."
"This place is beautiful. You can park near by. They have a hide which is actually open. I saw so much wildlife. Really had the best time out. They have a fishing area if that is your thing. Would have loved to go into the other rspb site walking distance from this one. This site is dog friendly the other is not."
"Always has more birdlife here than you think. I am always surprised whenever I go. Even when there is less birds here, there are many more than you will find in RSPB Strumpshaw Fen. It is well worth the walk if you go as far as the water tower. Best time of the year to go (for maximum number of birds) is during the breeding season (April to June). Wear suitable footwear for walking."
"Lovely place to walk around and spend time with nature. The scenery is quite flat, which means that even from ground level, there's plenty of good views all around. There is a very remote and un-spoilt feel to this place, which makes it great!"
