Reviews of Rustic Stone
"If you're looking for unusual cuisine in a beautiful venue, look no further than Rustic Stone. I would classify it as fusion Asian that is delicately presented. For starters I would definitely recommend the Crab Mayonnaise & Pressed Spiced Cucumber. For mains we had the hot rocks - beef & tuna. Both were exceptional but the tuna was my favourite. Every mouthful was an explosion of flavour, yet subtle. The venue itself is romantic with soft lighting & lovely wooden decor. The service was exceptional. I highly recommend it."
"Great place for great food. You basically pick cuts of steak to cook over a hot stone. Experience was nice! We got some chateaubriand, tomahawk and wagyu. A little disappointed in the wagyu, wouldn't say it was out of this world but it's typical of Irish wagyu meat. The chateaubriand I felt was best. They also had dips for the steak like a kimchi based sauce but it didn't really taste like kimchi, more of a ponzu type sauce. The asian parts of the menu did seem a little odd in juxtaposition with the steak offerings. I'd like to try their baos sometime but when there's good steak as an option it's hard to choose. Desserts were kinda meh but they were there. Got the matcha cocktail but had better matcha tasting drinks elsewhere. It wasn't bad though. Service was great, our waiter explained the menu really well and gave honest advice on what to order. Atmosphere was fairly pleasant - acoustics weren't too bad and the spacing of the tables was fine. Your clothes just might end up smelling like cooking."
"Great spot, lovely intimate feel in the restaurant followed by amazing staff and food. Would recommend the rib eye, Korean chicken and chocolate brûlée. Meals are well portioned and nicely presented. Perfect spot to mark an occasion. It’s popular so would recommend booking a couple days in advance. Also a nice touch to meet and briefly chat with Dylan McGrath on the night!"
"Oh my god. Where do I even begin? The interior is gorgeous and the restaurant is huge, it stretches over three floors and looks very inviting inside. The staff are super polite, respectful, and professional. The menu is intriguing and there’s definitely something for everyone. Be aware that the prices are not cheap at all but you get what you pay for and the food is delicious. If you order steak you have the option of grilling it yourself on hot plates that they bring out for you and if you have the chance definitely do it!! It’s a show and an experience. They also have loads of cocktails to choose from. We absolutely loved it here and we are definitely coming back! Don’t even get me started on the dessert. You just have to try it to get the full experience. Come here, you definitely won’t regret it."
"What a marvellous switch from the previous setup and menu to the new ones. Definitely unexpected, definitely worth a try (or more than one!) The new Korean cakes and bao are extremely good and light, the pork skin to die for. Finally a place where to find desserts using real fruits and without any sponge!"
